The Ceramics
Citerna has an ancient tradition of ceramics that comes by the presence in its territory, of a fine quality of clay and is still mined and distributed throughout Italy. This tradition is enhanced by the numerous works of art present in churches, where there are ceramic works of the Della Robbia school and the recent discovery of a terracotta Madonna and Child, found in the Church of San Francesco and attributed to Donatello, one of greatest artists of the Renaissance.
